Annelien Hofmans is currently a PhD student and researcher at LUCA School of Arts, involved in the ‘Inter-Actions’ and 'Caring. And design research' units, focusing on a doctoral project in the arts. As a freelance graphic and information designer since August 2018, Annelien specializes in creating tactile designs with unique concepts and exploring perceptual experiences in personal projects. Previous roles include social designer at iDROPS, where Annelien coordinated initiatives to address healthcare challenges through creative and human-centered design, and artistic supervisor at the Antonin Artaud-Centre de Santé mentale, providing artistic services in a day care setting for psychologically vulnerable individuals. Annelien's background in graphic design includes positions with Café Costume and multiple roles at Bowling Brands. Annelien holds a Master in Visual Arts: Media & Information Design from LUCA School of Arts, complemented by extensive educational experience at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
