Julie Gilman is an experienced professional in the fields of art conservation and project management, currently serving as Coordinator of Microcredentials and Training Support for Visual Design at LUCA School of Arts since October 2020. With a solid background as a Project Manager at Seen Design since February 2019, Julie has been instrumental in guiding companies and startups through product development stages. Previous experience includes a role as Project Manager at Co-Vibes and an extensive academic career as a PhD researcher at Universiteit Gent, where research focused on the conservation of contemporary food-based art. Julie also held teaching and research positions at KASK en Conservatorium in Ghent, coordinating postgraduate programs in conservation and curatorial studies. Academically, Julie holds a Doctor of Art Science with a focus on food-based art and a Master’s degree in Archeology, supplemented by postgraduate studies in conservation.
