Andrew Laurell is a seasoned professional in emergency services with extensive experience in public safety and emergency communications. Currently serving as the Public Safety Emergency Communications Supervisor at Lucas County 911 Regional Council of Governments since October 2021, Andrew previously held the position of Battalion Chief at the City of Oregon Fire & Rescue Department since July 2007. Prior experience includes work as a Police/Fire Dispatcher at the Sylvania Township Police Department and as a Part-Time Fire Dispatcher in Springfield Township. Andrew also worked as a Dispatcher and Advanced EMT at Mercy Health from March 2006 to April 2011 and began a career in public service as a Groundskeeper at City of Oregon Parks & Recreation from 2000 to 2006. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Management from Purdue Global and an Associate of Technical Studies in Emergency Services Technology from Owens Community College. Andrew completed high school at Clay High School with a focus on Agricultural Business and Management.
