Cheryl D. Phillips, SHRM-SCP, PHR has a diverse work experience in human resources. Cheryl D started their career in 2007 as a Human Resources Representative at Lucas County Children Services, where they worked until 2014. In 2014, they joined Lucas Metropolitan Housing as a Human Resources professional and later became a Human Resources Supervisor. Cheryl D then moved on to Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority in 2017, where they held the position of Human Resources Manager until 2021. Currently, Cheryl is serving as the Vice President of Human Resources at Lucas Metropolitan Housing.

Cheryl D. Phillips, SHRM-SCP, PHR completed their education with a Master's degree in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University. This program was pursued from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from The University of Toledo, where they studied from 1984 to 1998.

Furthermore, Cheryl holds additional certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Cheryl D obtained the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in August 2020. Additionally, in April 2017, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from HRCI.

Lucas Metropolitan Housing

Established in 1933, Lucas Metropolitan Housing (LMH) continues to provide affordable housing to adults, seniors and children in its Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, Mixed-Income and market rate housing units. LMH, also, provides a myriad of programs and opportunities designed to improve the total quality of life for our residents, with the ultimate goal of achieving self-sufficiency. The programs and services are the result of successful collaborations with numerous community partners. Our current housing portfolio consists of 2,669 public housing units; 4,732 Housing Choice Vouchers allocated units; 322 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit units; 198 Market Rate units; and, 107 Homeownership Properties.
