Brett Gilwee

Brett Gilwee is an experienced professional in the video production and post-production sectors, currently serving as an Editorial Assistant for Video Production and Creative Content at Lucasfilm since April 2024. Previously, Brett worked as a 1st Assistant Editor at Pixar Animation Studios from September 2021 to August 2023, where contributions were made to the in-house non-fiction division. From June 2012 to June 2021, Brett held multiple roles at Tusker Television, including Director of Post Production & Technology, Post Production Manager, and Post Production Coordinator for the critically acclaimed Smithsonian Channel series Aerial America. Other notable positions include TV/Film Partner Operations Coordinator at YouTube and Digital Media Technician at A&E Television Networks. Brett holds a BA in Film Studies from UC Santa Barbara and has pursued additional studies through a New York University extension course.
