Hessam Solouki

Greenhouse Research Agronomist at Lucent Bio

Hessam Solouki has worked in a variety of roles in the agronomy field since 2013. From 2013 to 2019, they were a Research Project Assistant at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where they completed a research project involving micro-propagation of critically endangered endemic Rhaponticoides schmidii Wagenitz. under in-vitro condition and quantified cardinal temperatures of Iranian Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum) Ecotypes leveraging Non-Linear Regression Models. In 2019, they worked as a Research Participant at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where they examined biological strategies for crop improvement against abiotic stresses in pea (Pisum sativum L.) and alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.). In 2020, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at Ocean Spray Cranberries and as a Farm Management Consultant at (IBA), where they shared new ideas to improve production and quality, whilst saving time for the company, restructured facilities to make farming work better, and delivered detailed and specialized technical agronomic advices on production improvement. Currently, they are a Greenhouse Research Agronomist and Production Technician at Lucent Bio.

Hessam Solouki obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy and Plant Breeding from the University of Tehran in 2012. Hessam then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Ecological and Sustainable Agriculture (Agroecology) from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2014.
