Marcel Opbroek

Marcel Opbroek has extensive experience in the field of cyber security and engineering, currently serving as the Manager of Cyber Security a.i. at LVNL since April 2001. Marcel Opbroek has held multiple roles within the organization, including OT Security Officer, ICT Architect, and Manager of Strategy, Integration and Architecture, overseeing a team of ten architects and implementing the Software Safety Management System (ESARR6). Previous experience includes serving as a System Coordinator for the SIA team at LVNL, addressing ESARR6-related issues, and working as a Surveillance Specialist, where Marcel Opbroek executed various projects, including the installation of a new ground radar at Schiphol. Prior to LVNL, Marcel Opbroek worked as a Research Engineer at NLR on NATO air defense systems and avionics modeling, and as a Project Engineer at Fokker Elmo B.V., leading the development of safety-critical electrical systems for aviation. Marcel Opbroek holds degrees from Eindhoven University of Technology and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
