Mark Funderburk has had a diverse work experience. Mark started their career as a Grocery Stock Clerk at Harris Teeter in 2011 and worked there until 2015. Mark then joined Pizza Hut as a Delivery Driver from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, Mark started working at North Carolina State University as a Research Assistant and later transitioned to the role of Hardware Design Engineer, where they designed and built equipment for research projects. In 2022, they joined Lucid Drone Technologies, Inc. as an Electrical Engineer. Additionally, Mark has also been involved with the Liquid Rocketry Lab, where they served as the Avionics Vice President and Chief Safety Officer.
Mark Funderburk completed their Associate of Science degree at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College from 2015 to 2018. Mark then went on to North Carolina State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from 2018 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, Mark obtained the FAA Part 107 UAV Certification in October 2018 and is a certified pilot under this institution.
