Engineering Technician at Lucid Drone Technologies, Inc.

William Recher has had a variety of work experiences in the aerospace industry. William began their career as an Engineering Intern at McCoy Machinery, where they worked with a Senior Mechanical Engineer on 2D AutoCAD drafting and 3D SolidWorks design. William also attended design meetings and assisted in the development of new machinery.

Recher then moved on to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they worked as a Flight Simulator Technician. In this role, they conducted FAA pre-flight checks, solved discrepancy reports, and performed maintenance on simulator equipment. William collaborated with a team of 20+ members to ensure the smooth operation of the simulator fleet.

Following their time at the university, Recher joined Lucid Drone Technologies, Inc. as an Engineering Technician and Drone Assembly Technician. In these roles, they drafted engineering prints and assembly instructions, collaborated with engineers to develop documentation structures, and streamlined drone assembly processes. William also contributed to minimizing production time and maximizing product quality.

Following this, from 2019 to 2021, they attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Southern University, which began in 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2024.
