Dr. Álvaro Tejeda Lorente

Dr. Álvaro Tejeda Lorente has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 when they obtained a PhD in Computer Science (Cum Laude) from the University of Granada. In 2012 they began working as a Data Scientist for Telefonica's digital services, where they developed a Crowd Analytics product and evaluated the quality of insights for User Centric and Location Based Crowd Analytics Approaches for Smart Steps. Dr. Álvaro then worked as a Lead Advertising Data Scientist for Telefónica from 2015-2014. In 2017 they became an Invited Lecturer at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR). In 2020 they became the co-founder and CEO at Veleta.AI, where they applied Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence on real time data to predict possible financial outcomes on short and long term, and developed and implemented quantitavie & algo trading strategies across futures, FX, equities, etc. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as the Head of Data for Luckbox - Real Luck Group (TSXV:LUCK).

Dr. Álvaro Tejeda Lorente completed their Engineer's degree in Computer Science at the Universidad de Granada from 2003 to 2009. Dr. Álvaro then went on to complete their Postgraduate Master in Soft computing and Intelligent Systems at the same university from 2009 to 2010. Finally, they obtained their Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Universidad de Granada between 2010 and 2014.
