Richard Hopper

Richard Hopper, PE is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Founder and President of Lucky Lad Energy since October 2020 and Bourbon Bit Energy since June 2020. Prior to these roles, Richard worked as an Operations Engineer for Hilcorp on the Louisiana Gulf Coast from January 2018 to October 2020, and at Merit Energy Company in the Permian and Anadarko Basins from July 2014 to January 2018. Richard's career also includes positions as a Well Integrity Engineer and Well Interventions Engineer at bp in the San Juan Basin from June 2011 to June 2014. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University.
