Suleiman Salie

Suleiman Salie's work experience starts in 1990 as a Graduate Trainee at Irvin & Johnson Ltd. SULEIMAN then went on to hold various roles within the company, including Projects Engineer and Maintenance Manager. In 2004, they joined Irvin & Johnson as an Operations Director and stayed in this position until 2010. From 2010 to 2015, Salie worked as the Managing Director for Oceana Lobster, Calamari Fishing, and Lamberts Bay Foods at Oceana Group Limited. In 2016, they became a Member of Executive Committee at the South African Pelagic Fishing Industry Association and also took on the role of Managing Director - Lucky Star Operations at Lucky Star - An Oceana Group Company.

Suleiman Salie has a diverse education history. In 1985-1989, they attended the University of Cape Town and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1994, they completed a Government Certificate of Competency (factories) at Maintland Technical College. In 2002, they enrolled in the Executive Development Programme at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and also studied Finance for non-financial managers at the University of Cape Town. Most recently, from 2019-2020, they attended the Harvard Business School, where they completed the Program for Leadership Development.
