Subhash Nair

Subhash Nair is the Manufacturing Operations Director at Lucy Electric. Subhash has over fifteen years of experience in the transformer industry, holding various positions such as Operations Director Transformers and Testing Manager.

Nair began their career in 2003 with ABB as a Testing Manager. In this role, they were responsible for heading a team of engineers and technicians who carried out testing on three-phase power transformers, traction transformers, and autotransformers. Subhash also played a role in the initial design of the 765kV test lab for ABB Power Transformer in Vadodara. Nair continued to work for ABB for five years before joining alfanar Co. as their Testing Manager -Transformers.

At alfanar Co., Nair was responsible for setting up a new test laboratory for testing of 150MVA, 230kV class power transformers. Subhash also carried out fault analysis and life assessment studies on transformers. After four years with alfanar Co., Nair joined BRUSH Group as their Operations Director Transformers. Subhash held this position for seven years before joining Lucy Electric as their Manufacturing Operations Director.

In their current role, Nair is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations at Lucy Electric. This includes managing production schedules, quality control, and ensuring that health and safety standards are met. Nair is an expert in transformer testing and has extensive experience in managing large teams of engineers and technicians. Subhash is a highly skilled problem solver who has successfully completed numerous projects throughout their career.

Subhash Nair achieved a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Subhash graduated with first class honors.

They are on a team with Phillip Dingle - Marketing Director, Bert Alberts - COO, and Paul Beck - Gridkey & SMART Solutions Director. Their manager is John Griffiths, CEO.
