Fashion retail has gone through many business models - from print catalog sales to big department stores, from local boutique stores to foreign drop shippers. We at Lucy in the Sky are looking at the entire process and doing things differently - just a few concrete examples: - When others see fashion as just another way to make money from trends with teams of buyers, we see it as deeply personal self-expression with our exclusive in-house design team. - When others see online shopping as just another channel, we see the internet as the means towards a significantly superior customer experience. - When others are entirely reliant on cheap overseas production, we are focused on developing fast domestic in-house production which benefits our local community. - When others see express shipping as a way to profit, we see it as a free necessity for our modern online customers. - When others are spending millions of dollars on influencer marketing, we are focused on authentic customer driven content. - When others see employees as dispensable cost centers, we see employees as the sole reason why we collectively succeed as a company. - When others believe that they are entitled to their customers, we believe that we must constantly innovate to thrive long term. — There are a 3 things which we strongly believe in as a company: Act Responsibly We are all collectively in the same boat, we sink or swim together. We all succeed to the extent that each individual does their part effectively. Think Differently Just because a solution already exists, it doesn’t guarantee that it is the best one. Look at a problem from all perspectives, not just the obvious one. Be Optimistic With the belief that the future will be better than the present, we know that the actions we take now will contribute in creating that better future.
