Mubashir A. Tariq

Mubashir A. Tariq has over 15 years of work experience in the aviation industry, primarily at Lufthansa Systems. Mubashir A. started their career in 2005 at Lufthansa Systems Passenger Services GmbH, where they worked as an IT Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Software Engineer in the Airline Ground and Sales Systems division. In 2008, they became a Product Manager in the Airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS) Business Division, responsible for managing the airline's passenger service systems.

In 2013, Mubashir joined Lufthansa Systems as a Senior Consultant in the Passenger Airline Competence Center. Mubashir A. worked in this role until 2016 when they were promoted to the position of Product Manager and Project Manager in the New Business Development and Innovation Management department. Here, they led innovative AI projects targeting the B2C and B2B2C segments, managing cross-functional teams.

In 2018, Mubashir advanced to become the Head of Portfolio and Innovation Management at Lufthansa Systems. Mubashir A. was responsible for the airline's commercial and operational product and service offerings. Mubashir A. also designed and executed a global Start-Up program in collaboration with Corporate Venture Capital, engaging with high-profile startups in the travel technology sector. Mubashir A.'srole included driving the product and service portfolio strategy and corporate strategy, as well as partner management within a global team environment.

In their most recent position as the Head of Business Development, Mubashir continued to play a strategic role within Lufthansa Systems, supporting decision-making at the executive board level regarding resource allocation and overseeing the development of scenarios for major organic and inorganic portfolio measures.

Mubashir A. Tariq completed an Entrepreneurial Finance degree at Hult International Business School in 2019. Mubashir A. also participated in the Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliance program from 2016 to 2019, focusing on Teaching and Coaching Innovation and Entrepreneurship Innovatively. Prior to that, they obtained an Executive MBA from Hult Ashridge in 2012. In 2005, they completed a degree in Software Engineering - Computer Science at the German Chamber of Commerce (IHK). Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Design Sprint Certificate, Professional Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Product Owner, Certified Product Manager (FH), and ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
