Matti Tauriainen

Matti Tauriainen serves as the Chief Digital Construction Officer (CDCO) at Lujatalo Oy since May 2015, overseeing the management and development of the BIM organization and digital tools in building projects. Previously, Matti held roles as BIM Manager and BIM Specialist within the same company, focusing on the use of BIM at both company and operational levels. Prior to Lujatalo Oy, Matti worked as a BIM Specialist at Sweco Structures and earned a Doctorate in Civil and Structural Engineering from Aalto University, where research emphasized constructability and Building Information Modeling. Additional experience includes a Technology Manager position at Finnmap Consulting Oy and a Project Manager role at the Finnish Association of Consulting Firms. Matti’s educational credentials include a Licentiate of Science in Technology and various degrees in engineering and management from Aalto University and Tampere University, complemented by a diploma in Artificial Intelligence from Aalto University Professional Development.
