Ovi Berindea

Ovi Berindea has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Ovi began their career in 1991 as a Senior Consultant at Mark Winter & Associates Inc., where they gained expertise in object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation. Ovi then worked as a Mentor/Consultant at Allied Signal Aerospace and Cincom Systems, where they provided guidance and expertise in software development. In 1994, Berindea co-founded Anmar International Inc., where they served as the Chief Technology Officer until 2001. Ovi also founded ObjectSmarts Inc. in 1997 and served as the Chief Executive Officer until 2009. From 1995 to 2001, Berindea worked at LPC Consulting Services Inc. as a Partner and Executive Vice President, developing software frameworks and tools for the Java and Smalltalk platforms.

Berindea joined Deloitte in 1996 as a Senior Lead Consultant before transitioning to Marsh McLennan in 2009. At Marsh McLennan, they held the position of SVP, IT Director, Global Information Technology until 2021. During their time at Marsh McLennan, Berindea gained valuable experience in managing IT operations on a global scale.

In 2021, Berindea joined Coinfirm as the Chief Product Officer where they were responsible for the strategic product direction and development of the Coinfirm Blockchain Analytics and AML platform. Ovi then moved on to Lukka in 2023 as the Head of Coinfirm Products.

Throughout their career, Berindea has demonstrated their expertise in product management, software development, and IT leadership, contributing to the success and growth of various organizations.

Ovi Berindea has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Universitatea Politehnica din Timișoara. Ovi also holds a Master's degree in Automation and Computer Science from the same university. In addition, they have a degree in Business Management from the University of Toronto. Ovi Berindea has obtained various certifications, including Certified Java Developer and Certified Java Enterprise Architect from Sun Microsystems, Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance, and VisualAge Certified Smalltalk Developer from IBM. Ovi has also received certifications related to crypto asset investigation, financial regulatory frameworks, fraud prevention, and anti-money laundering. Ovi Berindea has obtained these certifications from institutions such as Coinfirm, State of South Carolina, AHIP, and Sun Microsystems.
