Sergei Shatalov

Director at LUKOIL

Sergei Shatalov is the current director at LUKOIL. Sergei has had a long and impressive career in various financial and economic institutions. Sergei started as a research assistant at the Institute for African Studies, USSR Academy of Sciences in 1978 and quickly rose through the ranks to become a lead researcher. In 1992, they became lead economist for Iraq at The World Bank. Sergei managed the World Bank program in Kazakhstan from 2007 to 2010 and was adviser to the Office of the Chief Economist in the Europe and Central Asia Region from 2014 to 2014. Sergei is currently director at LUKOIL.

Sergei Shatalov has a PhD in International Finance from the Institute of African Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences. Sergei also has a B.Sc. in International Finance from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU). Sergei attended Middle and High School No. 49 in Moscow, Russia.
