Margareta Groth is an accomplished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in engineering and innovation. Currently serving as the Head of the Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics at Luleå University of Technology since August 2021, Margareta previously held the position of Head of the Industrial Technologies Department at VINNOVA, where the focus was on fostering innovation linked to research and development from December 2001 to July 2021. Margareta's expertise in advanced manufacturing is underscored by roles as National Expert for the EUREKA PRO-FACTORY initiative and Senior Programme Manager for various manufacturing research programs. Additionally, Margareta contributed to European research initiatives as Chair of ERA-MIN and Co-Chair of EUREKA PRO-FACTORY Group. Margareta's academic foundation includes a PhD in Materials Processing and a Licentiate in Engineering from Luleå University of Technology, complementing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
