Marcel Tiersch

Marcel Tiersch is an experienced leader in simulation and emulation projects, currently serving as the Head of Simulation Department at Vanderlande Logistics GmbH since May 2025, where responsibilities include managing a global team focused on baggage handling and cargo systems. Prior to this role, Marcel held the position of Head of Simulation Department at Siemens Logistics from January 2013 to April 2025, overseeing a specialized simulation team. Marcel's extensive experience also includes significant project management roles for simulation and emulation at major airports, including London Heathrow and Incheon, as well as early career experience in simulation engineering and factory planning at Siemens from 1998 to 2012.
