Niklas Lehto

Niklas Lehto has extensive experience in academia and industry, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering at Luleå University of Technology since September 2000. Lehto has held multiple leadership roles within the university, including Head of Division at Medical Sciences and Head of Division for Materials Technology, as well as serving as Educational Coordinator for Machine and Material Technology. Prior to this, Lehto worked as a Project Leader at Ericsson Software from June 1998 to September 2000 and was a PhD student in physics at Luleå University of Technology from September 1992 to March 1998. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics, a Docent in Medical Technology, and a Civilingenjör degree in Technical Physics from Uppsala University. Additional qualifications include certification as a UGL trainer from Försvarshögskolan - Swedish Defence University.
