Professor Helen Julia Minors

Professor Helen Julia Minors currently serves as the Head of the School of Arts at York St. John University since October 2022. In addition, Minors is a Visiting Professor of artistic research at Luleå University of Technology and has been an active trumpeter with the Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008. Previous roles include School Head of Performing Arts and Head of the Department of Music at Kingston University, along with various teaching and administrative positions at Roehampton University, Lancaster University, and Casterton School. Minors holds a PhD in Music and a Master of Music from Lancaster University, along with a B.Mus (hons) from The University of Huddersfield, and has achieved SFHEA and FHEA designations.
