Timo Tossavainen

Timo Tossavainen is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of mathematics and education. Currently serving as President of Suomen tietokirjailijat ry since January 2021, Tossavainen plays a key role in supporting nonfiction writers in Finland. Academic positions include Professor of Mathematics and Learning at Luleå University of Technology and Docent at both Tampere University and the University of Tampere. Prior roles encompass a Deputy Director, University Lecturer, and Head of Department at the University of Eastern Finland. Tossavainen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from the University of Jyväskylä.
