Cedric Scheerlinck

Cedric Scheerlinck is a Deep Learning Research Engineer at Luma AI, where the focus is on training multimodal foundation models. Previously, at Zoox, Cedric developed a new learned data miner that replaced thousands of lines of C++ code. At Skydio, Cedric advanced the night obstacle avoidance model integral to NightSense and trained obstacle avoidance models for drones. Cedric completed a PhD in Computer Vision at The Australian National University, where research involved training video reconstruction and optic flow networks for event cameras. Additionally, Cedric served as a Teaching Assistant and was a Visiting PhD Student at the Institute of Neuroinformatics, University of Zurich, and ETH Zurich. Cedric holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
