John Wilmes

John Wilmes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John is currently working at Luma Health as a Senior Backend Engineer since 2018. Before that, they were a Full Stack Engineer and founding member of healthcare IoT startup Algorithmic Intuition from January 2018 to October 2018.

Prior to that, John worked at Svarog Technology Group as a Full Stack Engineer from February 2014 to December 2017. John was also a co-founder of this startup that focused on network functions virtualization and B/OSS integration.

From May 2012 to December 2017, John worked as a Principal Consultant at Syntologica. During this time, they provided consulting, prototyping, and implementation services to various clients in the telecom industry. John also worked on projects involving Ethereum and smart contract platforms, Kubernetes-based open source applications, and IoT assets.

Before that, John worked at Progress Software as a Principal Sales Engineer in the Communications Sector from January 2008 to May 2012. John designed and prototyped telecommunications solutions utilizing Progress' BPM, ESB, CEP, and data interoperability products.

John's earlier experiences include working as the CTO of Ceon Corporation from November 1999 to December 2007. John managed corporate interaction and participation in standards organizations and led the design and coding of API-centric service fulfillment product suite. John also managed technology assessments, vendor relationships, and product architecture.

Lastly, their career began at Evolving Systems in 1994, where they worked as a Principal Engineer.

John Wilmes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Regis University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992.
