Salman Rana

Salman Rana is a Senior Backend Engineer at Noibu since May 2025, focusing on ecommerce analytics and monitoring. Prior to this role, Salman served as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer at Wind River from July 2023 to April 2025, contributing to the development of distributed cloud platforms and services, particularly StarlingX. Experience at IBM as a Runtimes Engineer (JVM) spanned from March 2018 to July 2023, where involvement in JVM/GC technology on Eclipse OpenJ9 and OMR projects was notable. Earlier roles include software development internships at Electronic Arts, Ciena, and Mitel, as well as web development positions at the University of Ottawa and Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. Salman holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Engineering from the University of Ottawa, completed in 2017.
