Terence Kawaja has a wealth of experience in the media and technology industry. Terence is the Founder and CEO of LUMA Partners, a company that provides strategic advisory services to companies in the media and technology space. Prior to founding LUMA Partners in 2010, Kawaja held several roles at different firms. Terence served as a Managing Director at GCA Savvian Advisors from 2007 to 2010, where they played a key role in various transactions. Before that, they were a Managing Director at Stanwick Advisors from 2002 to 2007. Kawaja also held the position of Managing Director, Head of Media M&A at Credit Suisse from 2001 to 2002. Earlier in their career, they served as EVP and CFO at Raindance Communications from 2000 to 2001. Kawaja's extensive experience in the media industry began at Citigroup (then Salomon Brothers) where they held the position of Managing Director, Global Head of Media M&A from 1989 to 2000. Throughout their career, they have been involved in numerous significant deals and acquisitions within the industry.
Terence Kawaja completed their education in a chronological order. Terence first attended Western University from 1982 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Following that, they pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School, graduating in 1989. Simultaneously, they also enrolled in the Schulich School of Business at York University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, completing their studies in 1989 as well.
