Adam Damiano has been working in the engineering field since 2009. Adam began their career as a Recruitment Chairman and Treasurer for The Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta in 2009. In 2011, they took on the role of Undergraduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University, where they oversaw a $50,000+ budget for microfluidics experiments. In 2012, they were recruited to a Mechanical Engineering Intern position at Boeing, where they maintained, designed, and repaired equipment related to production. In 2015, they were temporarily contracted through Xigent Solutions as an Engineer I at St. Jude Medical, where they provided fluid mechanics expertise for R&D of optical coherence tomography catheters. In 2016, they became a Senior Process Engineer at Formlabs, where they were a member and acting lead of the Print Process Engineering team, focusing on 3D printing process improvements. Adam reduced Form 2 print times by 15% without reduction in quality, and invented several novel stereolithography (SLA) printing methods. Finally, in 2019, they became an R&D Engineer at Lumafield.
Adam Damiano began their education in 2008 at Oregon State University, where they earned an Honors Bachelor of Science (HBSc) in Mechanical Engineering and an Honors Bachelor of Arts (HBA) in International Studies in Mechanical Engineering in 2013. In 2013, they continued their studies at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), graduating with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015. Following their graduation, they spent a year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology studying Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics.
