EU Finance Director at Lumanity

Clare Whatling has an extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Clare is currently serving as the EU Finance Director at Lumanity since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Finance at Cello Health Insight from 2011 to 2022, where they were responsible for various financial functions including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and audit liaison. Clare also ensured compliance with IR35 regulations and managed payroll submissions.

Before Cello Health Insight, Clare was the Chief Accountant at DDB from 2009 to 2011. Here, they handled accounting for the DDB Europe business, including UK GAAP and US GAAP reporting, tax filings, and management account preparation. Additionally, Clare supervised a team of two staff members.

Their career started at BDO Stoy Hayward LLP in 2003, where they held positions as a Graduate Trainee, Senior Auditor, and eventually Audit Manager. Clare specialized in the Leisure and Hospitality sector, including technical training and graduate recruitment.

Clare Whatling obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics from Loughborough University from 1999 to 2002. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Accounting and Finance from Kingston University from 2002 to 2003. Subsequently, they attended the ICAEW from 2003 to 2006 to obtain their ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification.
