Alvaro Silva

Alvaro Silva has a diverse work experience in the fields of frontend development and software development. Alvaro began their career in 2007 as a Junior Programmer at IBS. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a General Assistant at Sainsbury's.

In 2013, Alvaro joined Lloyds Banking Group as a Software Developer, where they primarily worked with Java and JavaScript. Alvaro was responsible for building and improving tools, developing applications, and contributing to Jenkins job maintenance. Alvaro also mentored team members and participated in requirements gathering and sprint planning. During their time at Lloyds, they gained experience in working with React and Flux, building data dashboards, and rebuilding legacy applications using React.

In 2017, Alvaro joined Kingfisher IT Services as a Frontend Developer. Alvaro worked on a platform in Angular that allowed users to map and visualize homes, and they contributed to mentoring teams in React, building proof of concepts for future releases, and ensuring component and feature reusability.

In 2018, Alvaro worked as a Contract Frontend Developer at Digitalist Group & Network. Alvaro built an internal ticket reservation system using React and Redux, with a focus on modularity and brand agnosticism.

From 2019 to 2020, Alvaro worked as a Contract Frontend Developer at Natterbox Limited, a telecommunications company. Alvaro was tasked with improving and building telephony apps embedded in Salesforce using React and Redux. Alvaro also provided expertise in React and Redux, participated in code reviews, and helped define development standards and best practices.

Currently, Alvaro is working as a Frontend Developer at Lumen5, where they utilize their skills in frontend development.
