Larry Zhu

Larry (Lijun) Zhu possesses extensive experience in optical engineering and research and development, currently serving as Sr. Director of R&D for the Industrial Tech Platform at Lumentum since 2014. With a strong background leading multidisciplinary teams, Larry has overseen various product developments including 3D sensing modules, Time-of-Flight (ToF) and Structured Light (SL) components, and high-speed transceivers, contributing significantly to both consumer and industrial markets. Prior roles at NeoPhotonics and Beam Express Inc. included leadership in optical engineering and the successful development of numerous transceiver products. Larry holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus on photonics from UC San Diego, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Peking University.
