Wei Tang has extensive experience in the field of optical communications and engineering program management. They served as a Hardware Engineer at Intel from 2007 to 2008 and later advanced to roles such as R&D Manager at Avago Technologies from 2011 to 2015, Director of Engineering at NeoPhotonics from 2020 to 2021, and Manager of Optical Network Development at Amazon Web Services from 2021 to 2024. Currently, they are the Director of Engineering Program Management at Lumentum since 2024. Wei holds a Master of Engineering in Optical Communications and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications, as well as having studied at McGill University from 2001 to 2007.
