Yun Gao

Yun Gao is a highly experienced engineer specializing in silicon photonics development, currently serving as a Senior Staff Silicon Photonics Development Engineer at Lumentum since April 2023. Prior to this role, Yun held the position of Senior Photonics Design Engineer at Analog Photonics from January 2021 to March 2023 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC San Diego from September 2019 to December 2020. Yun completed a PhD in Photonics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where studies were conducted from August 2015 to July 2019, supplemented by experience as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Washington in late 2018.
