Chris Bruce

Chris Bruce has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and industries. Chris is currently working as a Co Host at WTF Web3 since 2023. Prior to this, they were a Limited Partner at VSC Ventures starting from 2022. In 2022, they also founded and served as the CEO of BlockJoy, a venture backed Web3 infrastructure company.

Before their involvement with BlockJoy, Chris founded and served as a Board Member/Advisor at Lumeo since 2019. Chris was also the CTO of Lumeo from 2019 to 2022. Lumeo is an award-winning "no-code" custom video analytics platform. Chris played a crucial role in the development and deployment of computer vision solutions using drag & drop tools and pre-built analytic building blocks.

Chris held multiple roles at Helium Inc starting from 2014. Chris served as the Managing Director of Helium GmbH and advised the company on IoT consumer space. Chris also served as the VP of Product & Technology from 2018 to 2019, playing a key role in the development of next-generation technology that connects the physical world. Chris was a board member of Helium Foundation from 2020 to 2022, where they contributed to the development of decentralized wireless networks powered by the Helium Blockchain.

Before Helium, Chris served as a board member and CTO/CPO (interim) at Piper, Inc. Chris was responsible for enhancing the technology platform and delivering new and innovative content. Chris played a crucial role in recruiting engineering and product teams.

Chris's work experience also includes a senior leadership position at Mattel, Inc. where they served as the Senior Director of Product & Technology for the Global Connected Technology Platform and General Manager of Sproutling. Sproutling, a company they founded and later acquired by Mattel, was recognized for its innovation in wearable baby monitors.

Chris's career started at One Medical Group where they worked as the Director of Mobile Platform Engineering. Overall, Chris Bruce has demonstrated leadership and expertise in Web3 infrastructure, custom video analytics, IoT, and wearable technology.
