Katrina Woodring

Katrina Woodring is a seasoned professional in healthcare education and coding, currently serving as the Manager of Risk Adjustment Education at Lumeris since June 2021, where Katrina leads a team of 18 in developing workflows and guidelines for risk adjustment processes. Previously, Katrina held various roles including National Documentation and Coding Education Manager, Coding Quality Consultant at Optum, and Senior Coding Compliance & Education Specialist at University Hospitals. With extensive experience in coding education and compliance, Katrina has created educational materials, conducted monthly webinars, and reviewed provider documentation to enhance accuracy and improve risk scores. An educator at heart, Katrina has also taught medical billing and coding at Sanford Brown Institute and mentored students from Cuyahoga Community College. Katrina holds an Associate of Arts degree from Cuyahoga Community College and a diploma in Medical Billing and Coding from Remington College.
