James Tarne

James Tarne has diversified work experience in various leadership roles in the automotive and lighting industries. James started their career at Ford Motor Company in 1996 as an R&D Manager, where they worked until 2003. James then joined Visteon as a Business Development Manager for their Exteriors Division, responsible for overseeing a $600 million automotive lighting business. In 2005, they joined Lumileds, initially as the Director of Business Development for Automotive LEDs and Integrated Solutions, where they exceeded revenue targets. James later took on roles such as Strategic Marketing Director, Product Line Director for Illumination LEDs and Integrated Solutions, Senior Director of Marketing for the Consumer Electronics Business Unit, and Vice President and General Manager of the Automotive LED Business Unit. In their most recent role at Lumileds, they served as the Vice President of Global Innovation/Development for Automotive LEDs, Solutions, Lamps, and Accessories, where they were responsible for global product development and driving innovation strategy with teams based in multiple countries. Overall, James Tarne's experience and expertise have contributed to significant growth and success in the automotive and lighting industries.

James Tarne completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Western Michigan University. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science in Engineering Management at Wayne State University from 1996 to 1999.
