Srinivasa Banna, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Srinivasa currently holds the position of Vice President of MicroLED R&D at Lumileds since August 2018. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Technical Director at Applied Materials from January 2018 to August 2018. From February 2011 to January 2018, Srinivasa held the position of Fellow & Director of Technology Research at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. Srinivasa was the Director of Integration & Device at Innovative Silicon from November 2008 to February 2011. Before that, they worked as the Director of Integration & Device at DSM Solutions, Inc. where they managed an engineering team and oversaw technology development and transfer programs. Srinivasa also has experience as a Staff Device Engineer at T-RAM Semiconductor and as a Senior Component Design Engineer at Intel Corp where they worked on flash product designs and technology transfer. Prior to that, they were a Device/Integration Engineer at Lattice Semiconductors where they worked on developing EEPROM technology for FPGA products.

Srinivasa Banna, PhD, earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Andhra University in 1987. Srinivasa then pursued a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Modelling and Simulation from the University of Poona, completing their degree in 1992. Continuing their education, they obtained a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology between 1993 and 1997. In 2013, Srinivasa Banna completed the Harvard Leadership Development Program at Harvard Business Publishing and Harvard Business School, focusing on Leadership and Management.
