Debra Farber serves as the Head of Privacy Engineering at Lumin Digital since March 2025, overseeing the Privacy Engineering and Privacy Operations functions in the fintech sector. Farber is the host of The Shifting Privacy Left Podcast, currently on hiatus, which explores the integration of privacy by design into engineering and product development, featuring interviews with industry experts. Additionally, Farber is a Program Committee Member for the USENIX Conference on Privacy Engineering Practice & Respect, reviewing submissions and promoting the event. As a strategic advisor, Farber contributes to multiple organizations, including Secuvy, Privaini, Compliance Detective, Panther Protocol, PrivacyCheq, and privado.ai, focusing on privacy technology and implementation strategies. Farber holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA in English and Business Administration from Binghamton University.
