Waldi Hoon

Waldi Hoon is an experienced professional with a strong background in content production and management. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Content at Lumina since May 2022, Waldi Hoon has also held the position of Director at Leeubeer (Pty) Ltd since January 2021. Previously, Waldi Hoon was the Managing Director and Creative Director at Songbird Education until March 2024, and served as Executive Producer and General Manager of Campus Media at BOO! Surprising Media Solutions from August 2018 to August 2021. Waldi Hoon’s operational expertise was further developed during tenure as Head of Operations at Ginkgo Agency from April 2017 to August 2018. Prior experience includes the role of Global Head of Production at Lobster Ink from November 2010 to January 2017, overseeing a diverse team and implementing efficient production workflows. Early in the career, Waldi Hoon was involved in various production roles at Waterbrook Interiors from January 2007 to February 2008. Academic qualifications include a BA in Motion Picture Production from AFDA and music degrees from UNISA.
