Maeser Allen

Associate at Luminary Labs

Maeser Allen is an Associate at Luminary Labs. A natural problem solver, he enjoys bringing stakeholders together to create innovative solutions. His diverse background in public service, advocacy, nonprofit administration, and academic research allows him to identify, connect, and communicate latent insights that lead to impactful decisions.

Prior to joining the Luminary Labs team, Maeser provided critical administrative support to executives at the Global Impact Investing Network. As a graduate student, Maeser developed accessory dwelling unit policy recommendations for the City of Peoria, Arizona. As an AmeriCorps VISTA, Maeser ran a housing program for survivors of domestic violence in the Phoenix area and helped vulnerable populations access affordable housing resources.

Maeser has a master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Portuguese Studies from Brigham Young University. When not at work, he can be found with fellow cinephiles at the many independent film houses in New York City or studying public transit maps from around the world. Maeser speaks fluent Portuguese.
