Hobi Michalec is the co-founder and broker of Lumis, a domain name brokerage firm. Prior to Lumis, Hobi worked as a senior digital asset consultant at Domain Holdings Group from October 2013 to May 2016. At Domain Holdings Group, Hobi worked with a team of leading internet marketing experts to help companies secure domain names, websites, and other digital intellectual property. Hobi's clients have included many well-known brands such as Wickr, Mark Cuban Companies, Match.com, Liberty Tax, Astoria Federal Savings, Envivo Pharmaceuticals, and Web.com. In 2014, Domain Holdings brokered over $30 Million in transactions, making it the leading firm in the industry in many key metrics. Hobi's expertise includes all aspects of domain name brokerage and various naming rights such as representation of high valued domains, stealth acquisitions, website sales, domain portfolio management, domain auction management, and domain name valuations.

Hobi Michalec has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University - College of Business and another from Technological University Dublin. Their field is Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
