Mark Morkos

Mark Morkos has a diverse professional background starting with their role as a Projectionist at Audio & Visual Services, The University of Akron, where they gained experience in delivering and setting up equipment, as well as troubleshooting technical issues. Mark then worked as a Software Integration Engineer at PerkinElmer, Inc., providing software support for newborn screening laboratories and utilizing SQL, VBA, and PerkinElmer software products.

Mark later joined the Conquer Chiari Research Center as a Research Assistant, focusing on MRI image processing, biostatistics, and computer-based biological data analysis to improve the diagnosis and treatment of Chiari Malformation. Following this, they worked as a Student Assistant at the University of Akron Registrar, where they provided administrative support.

Most recently, Mark joined Lumitex as an Electrical Design Engineer. In this role, they are utilizing Altium Designer for PCB design and SolidWorks for designing fixtures for fiber optic cable products. Mark has also been involved in test protocol development, statistical analysis, and project management responsibilities such as creating project plans and leading design gate reviews.

Mark Morkos completed their secondary education at Jubail International School from 2015 to 2019, obtaining their Cambridge IGCSE and A-Levels. Mark then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at The University of Akron from 2019 to 2023.
