Chandler Hines

Chandler Hines is a skilled professional with extensive experience in aquatic biology, particularly in salmon enhancement and hatchery management. Currently serving as Hatchery Manager at Lummi Indian Business Council since March 2021 and as Salmon Enhancement Biologist III for Lummi Nation since August 2019, Chandler oversees hatchery program monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on rearing and releasing around 6 million salmon annually. Previous roles include Research Assistant and Master's Student at The University of British Columbia, where a thesis was published on salinity and photoperiod effects on salmon thermal tolerance, and various positions in hatchery management and research, including work at Vancouver Island University and Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. Chandler holds a Master of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology and a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture.
