Brian Sullivan has over 35 years of experience in the hydrocarbon process industries. Currently, they work as a Director of Aftermarket (Technical) Services at Lummus Technology, where they provide engineering troubleshooting services, training, startup assistance, and performance optimization for petrochemical and refining plant sites globally. Brian also directs field service visits, operational audits, and plant performance assessments. Prior to that, they were a Director of Advanced Process Control at ABB Simcon, where they supervised and mentored a group of advanced control engineers and managed project execution plans. Brian also worked as an Applications Engineering Consultant/Principal Applications Engineer, designing and implementing advanced control strategies for process plants. Brian started their career as a Chemical Process Engineer at Stone & Webster.

Brian Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1981. Brian then pursued an MBA in Information Systems at Montclair State University from 1991 to 1995. Prior to these higher education experiences, Sullivan attended Bishop Eustace High School from 1973 to 1977. Brian later completed their Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management, General at Montclair State University in 1995.
