Andrew Riess

Andrew Riess is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering leadership. As Co-Founder of Lumonic since August 2023 and Co-Founder of Pounding Gorilla Labs from January 2022 to March 2023, Andrew has successfully provided outsourced CTO services to early-stage, venture capital-backed startups. Prior to these roles, Andrew served at Carta from November 2017 to July 2023, progressing from Senior Software Engineer to Director of Engineering, while also contributing to significant fintech and people management solutions. Andrew's early career included various startup initiatives and a senior consultant role at FactSet, where valuable client-facing software implementation skills were developed. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Syracuse University and has pursued further education at the Syracuse University - Maxwell School.
