Geoff Starnes

Geoff Starnes is currently the Vice President of Information Security and Infrastructure at Lumos, a position held since December 2021. Prior to this role, Geoff served as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Information Technology and Deputy CIO at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from January 2019 to December 2021. Geoff’s extensive background in information technology includes nearly two decades as Assistant Director of Information Technology at Stark State College, focusing on the development and support of ERP systems and applications. Earlier experience includes working as a Systems Analyst at Security Savings Mortgage Corporation, overseeing daily network operations, and as a Programmer at Haines & Co. Geoff holds a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Franklin University, along with an Associate of Science in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Stark State College.
