Michael Danilich has over 25 years of work experience, starting as a Research Engineer at Bethlehem Steel Corporation's Homer Research Laboratories in 1995. Michael worked there for 8 years before moving to Luna Innovations Incorporated. At Luna, they held multiple roles, including Senior Research Engineer, Director of Biomedical Technologies, Director of Research in the Technology Development Division, and Vice President of Operations for Luna Labs from 2020 until March 2022. Currently, they work as Senior Vice President for Operations at Luna Labs, starting in March 2022.

Michael Danilich earned their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1988, followed by a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution in 1991. Michael continued their education at Case Western Reserve University and earned their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Macromolecular Science and Engineering in 1994.
