Olivia Goodson Vest

Olivia Goodson Vest has several years of experience in different roles in various companies. Olivia started as an Emergency Hire at Newman Library, Virginia Tech in 2016 and worked until August of that year. In 2016, they also worked as a Student Worker at D-Hub JMU Dining Hall until May 2017. In the same year, they took a Study Abroad program at James Madison University in June and July. Olivia worked as a Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Assistant Summer Intern at Salveo Diagnostics, Inc. from May to August 2019. Olivia also has a background as a Student Lab Assistant at JMU Microcomputing Labs from May 2017 to May 2020, Student Note Taker at Notes Drop Off JMU from August 2016 to May 2020, and Student Manager at JMU-Micro Computing Labs from May 2018 to May 2020. In 2020, they worked as a CLS 1 Toxicologist at UVA Health from September to October. From October 2021 to March 2022, Olivia worked as a Research Assistant at Luna Innovations. Olivia then moved to Luna Labs USA in March 2022 and has since then worked as a Research Assistant & Biotech EHS Rep. and Research Associate & EHS Lead.

Olivia Goodson Vest attended James Madison University from 2016 to 2020 and earned a Bachelor's of Chemistry degree in Chemistry. Olivia has since obtained various certifications including Custom Lateral Flow Technology Training from DCN Diagnostics, RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Refresher Course 2023 and RCRA Hazardous Waste Management from Lion Technology Inc., and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Olivia also obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree from James Madison University in May 2020.
