Julio L. Toko

Julio L. Toko has extensive work experience in the field of fiber-optic technology, particularly in sales, management, and engineering roles. Julio L. started their career in 2006 at Sabeus, where they worked as a Fiber-Optic Sensor Engineer and later as a Product Line Manager & Engineer. At Sabeus, they developed various sensor products for the oil and gas industry, successfully transitioning them from R&D to production and improving the yield rate. Julio L. also contributed to the development of Navy Towed Array and led the implementation of non-acoustic sensors for the acoustic sensor towed array. In 2011, they joined Paulsson, Inc., where they served as a Senior Fiber-Optic Engineer, specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of fiber-optic down-hole seismic sensor arrays. Julio L. established the company's Fiber-optic R&D Lab and Manufacturing and gained extensive experience in field deployments and seismic acquisition. In 2014, they joined LIOS Technology, initially as a Sales Engineer and later as a Sales Manager and Director of Sales - Americas. Julio L. was responsible for managing sales operations and expanding market presence in the Americas region. Julio then worked at NKT Photonics from 2015 to 2022, holding positions such as Sales Manager, Director of Sales Americas - Sensing, Global Commercial Director, and Segment Line Manager. At NKT Photonics, they played a key role in driving sales growth and overseeing commercial strategies. Currently, Julio is working at LUNA Innovations as the Global Commercial Director, applying their expertise in sales and leadership to drive business success.

From 2001 to 2005, Julio L. Toko attended the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Optics.
