Andrew Burns

Andrew Burns is a seasoned mechanical engineer with a robust career spanning several key roles in the engineering field. Currently a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Lunar Energy since July 2025, Andrew has previously contributed to Zoox as a Mechanical Engineer, and to Verdant Robotics as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Early in the career, Andrew held various positions at Nexteer Automotive, progressing from Product Engineer I to III, and accumulated experience as a Fabrication Studio Engineer at the University of Michigan. Additional internships and co-op experiences were completed at NeuMoDx Molecular, Inc., ZF Group, and TRW Automotive Inc. Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, completed in 2017.
